Coffee here are pretty amazing as my latte do give a very nice slight acidic taste yet gives you a nice burst of aroma after taste. Ice Cappuccino is rather interesting too as the first sip with give you a punch of unique taste that later will flow down your throat with the after taste. Lovely blend.

With a Starbucks on seemingly every corner of the city, it’s easy to believe that coffee is as ubiquitous as nasi lemak. And it is. However, if you are on the hunt for GREAT coffee, for skilled baristas, for specialty blends prepared in house, for small-batch single-origin coffees flown in from around the world and filtered before your eyes, you just might find your catch at Common Man Coffee Roasters in TTDI. Toss into the net high-quality well-prepared food and you may have just found your next favorite cafe, too.

In terms of food and drinks, there will be about ten brunch dishes from CMCR Singapore as well as a dedicated brew bar for coffee (beans will be roasted in Singapore only). Plans for a coffee academy are in the works.

As for some of you coffee enthusiasts, you may opt to be seated at the coffee bar and enjoy watching CMCR‘s baristas in action, or a little coffee talk perhaps. I went out of my comfort zone that day to try their Ethiopian filtered coffee instead of my standard order of latte.

For beverage, coffee is a must to us. Other options include freshly squeeze juices, smoothies, artisan teas. Cold Brew is also available, and you may ask their friendly staffs more about filtered coffee and UnCommon selection. Indulge into famous sugar dusted KL Churros with chocolate sauce and premium vanilla ice cream if you still had room for desserts.

New Zealand’s famous Kapiti ice cream takes centre stage at Damansara Kim’s Ice Dreams Café (IDC), where you can enjoy scoops of the rich, creamy ice cream in an affogato, with waffles and crepes, and even as an ice cream sandwich. The signature at IDC is the affogato. While we’re all used to affogato as being a shot of espresso poured over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, founders Darren Tan and CK Chee took the literal Italian meaning (which translates to ‘drowned’) as inspiration to create a whole menu of affogatos with different flavours – and they’re not all espresso-based. A standout is the olive oil and sea salt flakes affogato: Kapiti vanilla bean ice cream is sprinkled with flaky sea salt before being poured over with extra virgin olive oil – a bizarre-sounding combination (on this part of the world anyway) that works wonders. Other standouts include orange zest and Earl Grey lavender.

Plated ice cream desserts galore – crepes with spiced cinnamon crumbs (RM15, all prices include a scoop of ice cream), lavender & cranberry-infused Welsh cakes with drizzled honey & peppercorn sprinkles (RM15; a dense cross between cookies & scones), warm, crunchy-chewy peanut butter cookie ice cream sandwiches (RM12), waffles with maple crunch (RM16) & funnel cakes with dark chocolate ganache (RM15; to be available later this month). You can choose an ice cream flavour for each dessert (or trust the friendly IDC team’s pairing proposals): Black Doris Plum & Creme Fraiche? Spicy Apple Crumble? Lemongrass & Ginger? Fig & Honey? Anzac Coconut Cookies? Vintage Strawberry & Cream? Gahhh – too many temptations!

IDC’s ingenious affogatos are not new, just in case you’ve been wondering.
However, for this visit, I was given the honour of trying their new menu so if you haven’t been here, you should.
And if you have been a regular, then all the more you should drop in to savour the new creations.Read full review from www.rebeccasaw.com
Kapiti ice-cream features lots of fruity ice-creams of unique combinations with exotic ingredients often foreign to Malaysians. That explains why the ice-cream testing queues at the Kapiti-inspired Ice Dreams Cafe (IDC) are often long and crowded with the curious!
